The Regent has been closed since 2009. It is rotting away. Once belonging to the town, it was sold by DDC for £385k in 2010 with a covenant to ensure it became a cinema or place of entertainment.
We are a CIC founded with the aim of getting the owners to open the Regent or sell the property to someone who will. Deal desperately needs a cinema – and our beautiful seafront would benefit hugely from this iconic building being restored to its former glory.
